I’m pleased to announce that HAAWK, Inc. has acquired startups TuneRegistry and RoyaltyClaim.

HAAWK’s mission is to create and retrieve newfound revenue for rights holders. Dae Bogan and the teams behind TuneRegistry and RoyaltyClaim are the perfect fit for HAAWK. The teams behind these startups are exceptional individuals that have created differentiated products that align perfectly with HAAWK’s mission. Simultaneous with the closing of the transaction, TuneRegistry and RoyaltyClaim founder Dae Bogan has been appointed to the position of CEO at HAAWK, Inc. while TuneRegistry co-founders Jesse Morris, Kara McGehee, and Shane Zilinskas will serve as HAAWK’s CLO, CPO, and CTO while I take on the role of Chairman, President, and CFO of the combined companies.

TuneRegistry, which launched at SXSW 2017, is a music rights and metadata management platform that empowers hundreds of independent artists and DIY musicians to “be their own music publisher” by enabling them to self-publish and retain 100% of their music royalties. TuneRegistry has developed an integrated network of data exchange partners within the music publishing and metadata management sectors that make it simple to streamline catalog administration tasks from one central platform. TuneRegistry partners include ASCAPBMISESACSoundExchangeHarry Fox AgencyMusic Reports Inc.LoudrCrunch DigitalTiVoGracenoteMediaNet and many others.

RoyaltyClaim, which launched in September 2017, is a search engine for unclaimed and so-called “black box” music royalties. RoyaltyClaim procures data regarding unattributed and unmatched music entitlements from music rights organizations around the world and makes that information searchable and actionable. Copyright owners who find records referencing their copyrights are provided step-by-step instructions on how to go about claiming entitlements that may be due to them, including accrued unclaimed royalties. RoyaltyClaim has processed thousands of claims for Section 115 Notices of Intent (NOIs) filed by Google, Spotify, Groove Music, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio and Pandora, neighboring rights royalties around the world, and digital radio royalties in the United States.

HAAWK will continue to grow, expand, and improve upon these products as part of our growing portfolio of products and services helping rights holders maximize their earnings in the new media landscape.

Introducing HAAWK.

HAAWK monitors, monetizes, and enforces copyrights on user-generated video and audio platforms (YouTube Content ID, Facebook, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and more). We’re building fresh technology to help bring accountability, transparency, and newfound revenue to today’s music and video rights holders. HAAWK was co-founded by myself and Ben Barger, an aeronautical engineer and operations specialist who headed up operations at our previous company, AdRev/AudioMicro, Inc..

HAAWK just closed it’s first round of funding, a $2.5M series seed round led by some of Southern California’s top VC firms and HAAWK recently acquired the assets of Dart Music, a music distribution and metadata company to help jumpstart our product offering and expand our distribution reach.

Details of HAAWK’s funding and the Dart acquisition were covered in TechCrunch, Music Business Worldwide, Digital Music News, and SocalTECH.

Thank you for your support.

I’m pleased to announce that as part of Inc. Magazine’s 2015 Inc. 500 ranking of the USA’s fastest growing private companies, AudioMicro, Inc. (including our 4 brands – AdRev, DashGo, AudioMicro, & ImageCollect) was named as the USA’s 5th fastest growing media company (and #162 overall). This accolade is based on our actual revenue growth over the past 3 years, with revenue last year growing to $13.4 million. It’s the 3rd year in a row that we’ve made the Inc. 500 (we were #2 in media in both 2014 and 2013) and if the first part of this year is any indicator, we’re in a solid position to make the list for the 4th straight time next year.  A special thank you goes out to our customers, clients, partners, and most importantly to our amazing team for all of your hard work through the years.

I’m pleased to announce that we (AdRev / AudioMicro, Inc.) have acquired music distribution company DashGo – http://dashgo.com .

For details on the acquisition, check out this Billboard.com article —>

Highlights:
1.  DashGo distributes music worldwide to iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music Key, Pandora, Amazon, Google Play, Beats, Rdio, Rhapsody, Sound Exchange, Shazam, BeatPort and other music retailers and collection societies.
2.  DashGo takes a hands-on approach in driving visibility, retail marketing and discovery strategy for client releases.  The company’s robust dashboard gives labels the flexibility to easily manage repertoire, offering a premium catalog to music retailers while allowing rights holders to retain full control over their music.
3.  DashGo has an incredible client base including David Hernandez’s DH1 Media, Coconut Records, Rock Mafia, and Katy Tiz, to name a few, providing an amazing foundation to nurture and expand upon.
4.  DashGo was founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Ben Patterson.  Ben will continue as CEO of DashGo (and the entire DashGo team including Tate Palmer and Jeremy Vilela will stay on as well).  We will be expanding DashGo’s products services along with our YouTube rights management services at AdRev.
Happy Holidays!  Hoping that 2015 is your best year ever.
