by Ryan on December 18, 2014

I’m pleased to announce that as part of the 2014 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, AdRev (AudioMicro, Inc.) has been ranked the 28th fastest growing company in North America. Thank you to our amazing team, customers, and clients for making this happen. We couldn’t have done it with you. I realize the blog has basically turned into a trophy wall which is likely annoying for subscribers. Please accept my apologies. I simply don’t have any time or focus theses days to enable myself to create detailed topical blog posts here but hope to get back to doing so some day.

Now I know this may look like a duplicate post, but it’s NOT.   For the second year in a row, AdRev (AudioMicro, Inc.) has been ranked as the 2nd fastest growing media company in the USA.  Overall we ranked as #164 out of 500 on the 2014 Inc 500 listing of the fastest growing private companies in America.  Thank you to our clients and team for making this happen!

As part of the 2013 Inc 500, Inc Magazine has named AudioMicro, Inc. (including AdRev, ContentID.com by AdRev, AudioMicro, and ImageCollect) the USA’s #2 fastest growing media company and the #205 fastest growing private company overall.  This accolade is based on our financial performance over the past 3 years.  It’s a day we could only dream of when we started this company out of a spare apartment bedroom just 6 years ago.  Thank you to our customers, clients, and most importantly to our team for making this happen.  Onwards and upwards!

LA Startup Email Newsletters and Events

To Do List Icon

A reader recently asked me for advice on getting settled in LA and involved in early stage tech businesses.  He wanted a sort of “quick way” to get involved and network his way into the scene and find out the best opportunities, companies, entrepreneurs, and investors in the LA area.  I’ve prepared a list here for those who are ever seeking similar advice.

You’re going to have to get out there and do the networking yourself, but these resources are a good place to start.  Most of them can be subscribed to via email where you’ll get alerts about news and events worth exploring.  I tried to set the links to that you’ll be taken directly to the email sign up / calendar of events pages for convenience.

So without further adieu, if you’re new to LA and looking to get involved in early stage ventures / startups, here’s a list of good places to start your journey:

  1. Amplify.LA
  2. Coloft
  3. CrossCamp.us
  4. Dealmaker Media LA
  5. Founders Institute
  6. General Assembly LA
  7. LA Startup Digest
  8. LAUNCH Conference / Jason Calacanis
  9. Launchpad.LA
  10. LAVA (Los Angeles Venture Association)
  11. PandoMonthly LA Events
  12. Siemer & Associates Events
  13. SocalTECH
  14. Southern California Tech Central
  15. StartupsUncensored
  16. Technology Council of Southern California
  17. TechZulu

I know I’m missing quite a few, so please let me know in the comments here and I’ll add them.  Happy Holidays!
